ConsumerTrack Supports Soroptimist Club’s Breast Cancer Comfort Tote Program and Raises Donations for Women Undergoing Chemotherapy

ConsumerTrack kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by launching a campaign in support of the local Manhattan Beach, CA, Soroptimist Club’s Breast Cancer Comfort Tote program. Each year, the Soroptimists assemble hundreds of tote bags containing key cancer comfort items, including lip balm, gentle hand cream, mints, a head scarf, a pillow, and other thoughtful effects. The club members then bring these tote bags to local hospitals encouraging the brave women in their defeat of breast cancer.

 
ConsumerTrack is promoting the Club’s efforts through their premier financial website, GoBankingRates.com, as well as through an active social media campaign. More than 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, making this cancer the second largest at 28% of all cancer types in women. Each year, many organizations and individuals campaign to raise donations for advocacy, research, and treatment of this disease. Through their support of the local Soroptimist club’s tote program, ConsumerTrack is going beyond traditional awareness measures by letting current cancer patients know they are not alone in their battle.

 

The recipients of the Soroptimist’s comfort totes are filled with gratitude.
